Hey May! Thanks for the link I actually really like this ladies art! How did you find an artist from ecuador?
I play around with alot of different media, but what I've been enjoying recently (and what I used for the one you commented on) was just ballpoint pen (pilot precise v5) water -to smear the ink after I had made the drawing (water was administered through a kuretake brush pen..the blue kind that you fill up with water)
annnnnnd... a black pentel brush pen for the black background.
Usually I don't like markers but when I do use them I almost exclusively use Beinfang watercolor markers. They have a synthetic hair brush tip and can be diluted with water so I find them a little more workable than regular markers.
To join scketchbook month you have to bug Jeff Love, you can find a link for him on the sketchbook month users list. He is usually pretty quick at adding people upon request.
Thanks for the comment, and asking questions.. It's really motivating for me to see other classmates blogging and working hard during the off season!
I'll definitely see you next semester. Have fun, Derek.
